When we designed the Alchemy neck weight, we wanted to make sure that freedivers would be able to experience better and safer dives, with less effort and minimum oxygen consumption. Only a few months after its launch, our latest ground-breaking product has been welcomed by thousands of divers all over the globe. Here's what some of the deepest humans think about it.

Hello guys, welcome from the Arctic, welcome from Tromso in the north of Norway. I would like to say a few words about this amazing neck weight from Alchemy. What is super important for me is that the neck weight itself as you can see is covered by a huge layer of silicone. So, it's super soft and super comfortable, even if you use it all day long.  Also, you can see that the neck weight it's really pretty at first, if you like a white color you can get a white one, it's super flexible it's really adjustable, so it can really fit anyone. I was testing it and trying it this season during the AIDA world championship in Limassol when I was working as a safety diver, and I can tell you that this is really unlike anything else. I was using it for like five-six hours during the day and I didn't feel any discomfort, any pain, it's not pressing my collarbone, it's not uncomfortable around my neck. The first two days I can tell you I had to even keep trying, keep checking if it's still there because I just didn't feel anything. I had the chance to try many different neck weights since I started freediving, all these homemade neck weights, and some other neck weights that someone else is producing, and nothing is even close to this one. It's amazing, it's streamlined, it's soft, it's flexible, it's just fantastic.

What I really love about the new Alchemy neck weight is that it's a very simple, yet efficient, design. What the neck weight does is that it allows you to distribute the weight more evenly around the body, so that you're not carrying all the weight around your waist. So what that does is also allows you to be more streamlined and hydrodynamic for your dive. Another thing is that it has this nice opening so that it doesn't affect your equalization as you descend on your dive, or your ability to relax if you were to breathe up on your back for your dive. What I really love about this neck weight is its simplicity and comfort. It's got this really sleek design, really comfortable and I barely noticed that it's even there.

It's very interesting, it is made of silicone which is, I think, one of the most important things, because you can use it with your wetsuit and it doesn't really move much from the neck, because of the materials, it's going to stick there, and then it's going to make all your dives more comfortable. The neck weight comes in different lengths,  like 40 centimeters, 45, and 50 centimeters, and then of course different weights as well. The lowest will be 0.93 kilos and the maximum 1.55 kilos. I'm using the 1.55  kilos, which is the maximum, because the weight that I was using before this was 1.8 kg, I like to be a little bit heavy when I dive, but I wanted to reduce it a little bit to make the way up a little bit easier. So, this is perfect, perfect neck weight for me, I've tried it already in a few deep dives and it just is super comfortable. For me, even if it's 55 centimeters, it's a really good length, because you can put it tighter, and then you can have the big weight and it's not really going to move much. The other thing is that when you put it here,  if you have the thickness of the wetsuit, it’s going to stay, and it's going to be supported more from the jawbones instead of from the chin. That is what usually before, with a handmade neck weight was where I was supporting mine. It was a little bit uncomfortable to have the neck weight supported here, because it was not so easy to maybe hold the mouthfill or deal with the mouthfill, and then maybe that sensation is not so nice.
