If you are not located in Greece, there are 3 means of payment offered. First option would be to bank wire-transfer the amount of your order straight to our bank account (details will be included in your order’s confirmation email). Second option would be to use our ePOS Paycenter “Credit Card” payment option and complete payment with your credit card. ePOS service is powered by Piraeus Bank S.A. in Greece, you are redirected to the bank’s payment platform during checkout and no card details are stored anywhere. Third and last option is to use PayPal™ service and complete your payment on the PayPal payment platform (redirected) using either your credit card or your PayPal balance. Again no details are stored by our store at any point. Concerning payment via PayPal, if a refund is issued, any fees that were charged when the original payment was received are retained by PayPal.
Customers within Greece, you have all the options mentioned above and a 4th choice of Cash-On-Delivery for your order delivered within Greece by ELTA Courier (door-to-door). Payment can be done in cash or credit card upon delivery without any extra cost.
We only use EMS or SPM shipping worldwide which is a fast, reliable, registered service that will get to almost all locations within 1 to 6 working days. To all locations not supported by EMS shipping we use SPM service (Special Priority Mail) which is served by DHL in Greece. SPM is even faster than EMS and delivers to even more locations. SPM shipments might change tracking number to the local service that serves the local posts. Please drop a message if you have difficulties when trying to track your SPM parcel and we’ll help asap. Within Greece (domestic sales), ELTA Courier (door-to-door) is used that gets your parcel delivered within a maximum of 3 days.
Considering fins, there is a lead time to produce which is normally around 10 working days (2 weeks). This time may vary so feel free to shoot a question just before ordering to make sure you can handle the waiting. Products other than fins are usually available from stock. Once the ordered product is shipped then transit time depends on the carrier service you choose. It can take from some days with fast courier service, to some weeks through standard parcel service.
Well that depends on many variables. First, we check your body type/mass. If you are a small guy or girl below 65kg then a Soft pair will probably be ok for you. If your weight is between 75kg and 85kg a Medium pair will be probably ok and if you are really big (>100kg) then a M/H or a Hard pair will be ok.
A rough guide that will help you choose the right stiffness:
• < 70kg - SOFT
• 65-75kg - MEDIUM/SOFT
• 70-90kg - MEDIUM
• 85-100kg - MEDIUM/HARD
• > 100kg - HARD
If you notice something unusual about the list above is because stiffness recommendation varies a lot depending on the diving skills, needs and personal preferences of each diver. If you want your fins for swimming or snorkeling, then a slightly softer pair than the kg-based recommendation will be perfect. If you want performance or you’re about to swim/dive under strong currents, then you’ll probably need a bit harder than the kg-based recommendation. Lots of experienced freedivers tend to go for softer fins in general as they are taking the most out of the fins’ performance and have more room to work on the kicking technique. As you’ve probably seen online there is a +Plus version of the V3-30 model which offers 10cm longer blades. Based to our test results longer blades offer a good performance only if you have a very good kicking technique and you can understand and adjust the oscillating speed of your kicks. Longer blades are also better if you are a really tall guy/girl and extra length comes as natural proportional sizing effect. They’re also producing great looking photos if that’s what you seek :) We still have the best test results with our standard-length blades as you can see on the efficiency chart posted, but we’ve also learned to hear our customers who eagerly asked for more (lengthwise) around the globe.
Only defects or damages resulting from a failure in material or workmanship are covered by the alchemy warranty program for carbon fiber fins. Other defects or damages, in particular those listed below, are not covered by our warranty: Defects or damage caused by normal use and wear, defects or damage caused by heavy, unusual, or incorrect use, or use under abnormal conditions (blows, jerks, falls, bumps, etc.), defects or damages caused by lack of or incorrect maintenance or through negligence, defects or damages known or evident at the time of purchase of the product, clear defects or damage tacitly accepted, that did not interfere with the product's operation, scratches or damage to the footpockets and all other external areas due to normal use of the product, defects or damages caused by cleaning materials or other substances containing aggressive chemicals (solvents, surfactants, aggressive cleansers, etc.), defects or damages resulting from alterations and changes made to the products without authorization, defects or damages caused by improper assembly of the components, defects or damages caused by failure to follow product instructions in the User’s Manual, defects or damages caused by prolonged use of the product in chlorinated or polluted water, defects or damages caused by exposing the product to excessive temperatures, fire, or prolonged exposure to sunlight. All components subject to normal wear and tear (footpockets, silicone water-rails, stickers, etc.) are not covered by the warranty unless it can be shown that the problem is a manufacturing defect. This warranty does not cover equipment used for rental, military or commercial purposes.
Yes, under certain conditions. If you made a mistake ordering fins, please contact us immediately so we can possibly solve it before manufacturing or shipping. If you received your fins and something is wrong, you can send them back and we will replace them for free. You only have to pay the shipping cost back and forth. We will check the fins you are sending back to be in the exact condition they were when manufactured. We cannot replace used or scratched fins. For other items, like belts e.g., it is easier to go through this process but again, we can only replace items in perfect condition or damaged on arrival. Concerning payment via PayPal, if a refund is issued, any fees that were charged when the original payment was received are retained by PayPal.
