A few weeks ago we released our new silicone freediving neck weight. Since then, it has traveled all over the globe, helping freedivers increase their performance, improve their mouthfill technique and be more comfortable underwater. Kaizen Freediving recently posted a video review of it on his YouTube channel. Here's his verdict.

"From Time To Time, I Have To Check If It's Still There"

"Today  I will review the new neck weight from Alchemy. I used a few different neck weights before. - a simple one, which I made myself from a bicycle tire, and an interesting solution from a Russian company. Both of them work, however, for me, they're not very comfortable. You can get used to them, but the sensation, the feeling is not as perfect as in my opinion it can be.

Finally, Alchemy created this piece of art. On the Alchemy website, you can find two colors - black and white, with different sizes and different weights for each size. The minimum weight is 0.93 and the max is 1.23 kg. The price is 75 euro, which doesn't seem cheap, but it is a high-quality product. Guys, as soon as I put it on my neck, I realized "Okay, I'm gonna use it." The only problem, which I have with this neck weight is that I have to check from time to time if it is still there! Because it's almost that you don't feel it. It's so comfortable that from time to time I forget that I have it. This is a big difference from the neck weights, which I used before. As you see, the neck weight stays on my neck and it does not move that much, only a little bit. However, as I said, it gives a really comfortable feeling. This neck weight, I think, will be used mainly for depth training. It's super comfortable to use it. However, if you already have it, it's possible to use it for your pool training as well. In this case, you will probably also add a weight belt, which is absolutely fine.

Overall impression: I'm really really impressed. It's a perfect piece of equipment. This piece of equipment I will use every time when I freedive in the ocean. So there's no doubt that from now on I am probably gonna stop using my weight belt for the ocean entirely, and will just use this beautiful, really comfortable neck weight".
