The Results So Far



Sunday, June 12th marked the first day of the Championship with two freediving disciplines: Dynamic Apnea without Fins started the day with Poland having a great start! Mateusz Malina and Julia Kozerska took the gold, 233,8 and 210 meters respectively, with Julia setting a brand new World Record! Valia Peles and Guillaume Bourdila completed the Men's Podium, while Mirela Kardasevic and Magdalena Solich-Talanda completed the Women's Podium. In the Junior's DNF Category, Ege Yanki Gunes was the top man and Ceylin Iptes the top woman. In the Master's Category, Aris Ioannidis from Greece, was awarded the gold medal and Denmark's Peter Munk Truelsen got the silver, despite having a physical handicap. He also got the World Record in Master's DNF with a physical handicap.

The second discipline was 16x60m Endurance Apnea. Derin Toparlak held the gold medal having a fantastic time of 09:37.61. Italy completed the Podium with Giuseppe Fusto and Denis Shao. In the Women's category, Italy's Chiara Zaffaroni took the gold with a time of 11:08.68, followed by Ukraine's Yuliia Chumak and Czech Republic's Jindriska Zajacova. In the Junior Men's Category Ege Yanki Gunes held the gold once more with Germany's Simon Venediger getting the silver. Aris Ioannidis from Greece kept his momentum earning a second gold medal in the Master's 50-54 category. Germany's Dagmar Andres-Brummer earned the Women's Master category gold medal.

Today the championship will continue with only one discipline: Dynamic Apnea with Bi-fins, don't miss it!
