After reviewing our V3 carbon freediving fins, the guys at Kona Freedivers reviewed our spearfishing only model, the Alchemy S. Did it live up to their expectations?

"Made For Spearfishing"

"Aloha divers, we have the Alchemy S blades! These are called an S line blade because they are designed for spearfishing and the difference between this and like a V3 blade, which is kind of the other mainstay Alchemy blade, is going to be the length. So, you'll notice that there's a small length difference between the V3 and the S blade. Also the way the carbon is laid on the blade is going to be slightly different from the V3. The V3 has a hardened tip, the S has a little bit softer tip and it's going to have a slightly different bend profile. It's not massive, it's designed for those kicks when you're spearfishing, you are bicycle kicking at the bottom, you're trying to haul a fish up, you're not really paying attention to good form. These are going to be less likely to break and also going to be better under those stressful conditions when you're not really paying as much attention to your form when you're kicking.

"Great Blades For Serious Divers"

This is kind of more high-end fin, it's in line with the V3, it's for people that are pretty serious divers. They are really great blades for most people, i would say the only person that wouldn't want this kind of blade is somebody that's doing deep line diving. They might prefer the V3 over this blade but for most spearfishing use this is going to be a great blade and they come in a variety of a ton of different color combinations. We sell a lot of these, i highly recommend it".
