We love honest reviews, we really do. So, when we saw that Kona Freedivers reviewed our V3 blades a few days ago, we immediately pressed play on the video, excited to hear what these guys had to say about our carbon freediving fins.

"They Have Stood The Test Of Time"

"The Alchemy V3 carbon blades; these are legendary carbon blades, they've been around for quite a while on the market, on the scene and you'll see a lot of freedivers using these blades. These are my personal favorite blade that i've carried in the shop. So far we've seen a lot of blades, we've tested a lot of blades and we've broken or bent or dealt with a lot of blades. So these have stood the test of time out of all the carbon blades that we've dealt with so far. We really like these blades and i recommend them for most people, they're the best carbon blade available.

"Carbon Does The Work"

Now the reason why the V3s are a little bit different from other blades is the fact that it's constructed really nicely. It has this nice finish here on the bottom surface, if you're laying on the bottom spear fishing, this is kind of where more of the resin is found. On the back there's less resin and the nice thing about that is it makes the blade lighter and it also allows the carbon to do more of the work. You really don't want the resin bending, you want the carbon bending.

"This Is A Great Blade Size"

The way the V3 blade is constructed, it has a bit of a harder tip on the blade, so you're going to notice it doesn't quite bend as much as some of the other blades, like the Cetma, or even the S line, which is also produced by Alchemy. It comes in five different stiffnesses and the nice thing about that is you can tailor the stiffness to your body. The stiffnesses are very appropriate for most people, so the soft is quite soft and it's good for a lot of people, but going up to the hard, they're not as stiff as a lot of the other blades, which is actually really great. That's why i love these blades; they're appropriately stiff. The size of the blade is also a really good size for most people, so unless you're really large or really small, this is a great blade size and shape for most people. You can use these for freediving on the line, freediving on the reef or spearfishing - they work great for everything.

"Extremely Reliable"

Now there's the V330; a lot of people ask us about that. I don't particularly love them because then you've got to use the C4 footpocket. The downside of the C4 footpocket is most people don't like that footpocket. C4 has gone and redesigned it a little bit to accommodate more feet but we're still on the fence about that. The thing about that fin is it's more expensive and it only works with the c4 footpocket. V3 works with any footpocket on the market and so it's really great. The blade comes with a five year warranty. We've only had i think one pair break since we've started carrying them and we've sold so many of these things. They're extremely reliable and extremely durable and they're just really great blades for the money".
