Introducing ICON Foot Pockets, the world's first adaptive freediving foot pockets designed to combine competition-grade power transfer with long-session comfort and versatility. Developed over four years of research, testing, and refinement, ICON eliminates the traditional compromise between performance and wearability.

Featuring ZeroLoss technology, interchangeable PowerLock rings, AdaptiveFit cushions, and the HydroCore channel, ICON adapts to the diver rather than forcing the diver to adapt to the equipment.

ICON footpockets are available as a complete standalone product, both as spare parts and for DIY enthusiasts or blade manufacturers who wish to combine their preferred blades with ICON footpockets.

ASSEMBLY

Blade installation is permanent and requires the use of a high-quality cyanoacrylate (superglue) adhesive.

Recommended adhesives include Sicomet 8300 by Henkel company and Loctite 406. Before assembly, all surfaces to be bonded must be thoroughly cleaned and completely dry. Please refer to our ICON installation video for step-by-step guidance.

ICON foot pockets introduce a completely new approach to freediving performance, combining competition-grade power transfer with the comfort and adaptability demanded by modern divers.

At the heart of the system lies ZeroLoss technology, maximizing energy transfer between foot and blade, while interchangeable PowerLock rings allow divers to adjust responsiveness and pressure distribution across the bridge of the foot. Complementing the system are AdaptiveFit silicone cushions, designed to improve heel retention, optimize sizing, and create an even more secure connection between diver and equipment.

A deep blade insertion architecture creates a continuous structural link between foot pocket and blade, while the textured HydroCore channel actively manages water flow to improve stability, control, and kick precision. Completing the design are compact hydrodynamic flaps and carefully selected performance materials, engineered to deliver exceptional responsiveness without sacrificing long-term comfort.

The result is more than a foot pocket. It is an adaptive performance system capable of delivering explosive power when every meter matters and exceptional comfort when hours of training lie ahead.

The PowerLock ring allows divers to adjust pressure distribution across the bridge of the foot, creating a more secure and stable connection between foot and fin.

Available in two stiffness options, the black ring prioritizes comfort and flexibility for long training sessions, while the white competition ring maximizes rigidity and responsiveness for situations where absolute power transfer matters most.

By allowing divers to choose how aggressively the foot pocket locks onto the foot, PowerLock transforms a fixed product into an adaptable performance platform.

AdaptiveFit cushions allow divers to fine-tune both heel retention and internal volume inside the foot pocket.

Installed through the rear access slot, the cushions reduce internal movement and create a tighter connection between foot and fin, improving energy transfer and responsiveness throughout the kick cycle.

For divers who fall between sizes, AdaptiveFit also provides a practical sizing solution, allowing a more precise fit without compromising comfort.

Running through the center of the foot pocket, the HydroCore channel actively manages water flow during the kick cycle.

Its textured surface accelerates water movement along the pocket while reducing turbulence and stabilizing the fin during oscillation. By improving directional stability and water management, HydroCore provides divers with greater precision and control throughout every phase of movement.

The ICON stabilizing flaps were designed with a fundamentally different philosophy from traditional foot pockets.

Instead of relying on large, rigid structures that interfere with the blade's natural flex pattern, ICON uses compact and strategically positioned flaps that guide water at the critical transition point between foot pocket and blade.

This approach improves stability and water release while preserving the natural behavior of the carbon blade.

Unlike conventional foot pockets, ICON allows the blade to extend deep into the structure, reaching all the way to the beginning of the open heel.

This extended interface removes weak points between blade and foot pocket, creating a unified structure that behaves as a single component. The result is improved responsiveness, cleaner feedback, and maximum power transfer.

The ICON foot pockets began with a simple question: why should freedivers have to choose between performance and comfort? For decades, competition foot pockets prioritized power transfer at the expense of the diver's feet, while comfortable designs often introduced unwanted movement and energy loss. The needs of the modern freediver had evolved, but the equipment had not.

The challenge was clear. Create a foot pocket capable of delivering the explosive response demanded by elite athletes while remaining comfortable enough for long training sessions, repetitive depth days, and everyday use. Achieving both simultaneously proved far more difficult than achieving either independently.

Development focused heavily on materials science. Elastomers with different densities, stiffness characteristics, recovery rates, and fatigue resistance were tested and refined until every section of the foot pocket behaved exactly as intended. The bridge ring required a material capable of generating controlled pressure without discomfort, while the silicone cushions had to improve fit and responsiveness without creating pressure points or interfering with circulation.

The geometry itself underwent countless revisions. The blade insertion depth was extended to create a continuous structural connection between blade and foot pocket. The HydroCore channel was developed to stabilize water flow and improve directional control, while the stabilizing flaps were carefully shaped to guide water without restricting the blade's natural movement.

The result is not simply another foot pocket, but a completely new category of freediving equipment. A foot pocket designed to adapt to the diver, capable of transforming from an all-day training companion into a competition-ready performance machine in a matter of seconds. ICON represents years of questioning assumptions, challenging conventions, and rethinking what freedivers should expect from the equipment that connects them to the water.

Material selection played a central role throughout the development process.

Every compound was evaluated not only for stiffness and durability, but also for comfort, memory retention, fatigue resistance, and long-term consistency.

The result is a multi-material structure that delivers exceptional rigidity where power transfer is required while maintaining carefully controlled flexibility in areas that interact directly with the foot.

After use, rinse the foot pockets thoroughly with fresh water to remove salt, sand, and debris.

Allow them to dry naturally in a shaded, well-ventilated area before storage.

** Thermal conductivity is similar to neoprene rubber. With a minimum footpocket wall thickness of ~5mm (depending on size), the foot is already surrounded by a substantial insulating layer, effectively providing neoprene sock-like thermal protection.
