Where is Alchemy located?

Alchemy is based and operates both its production facility and a dedicated retail store in Athens, GREECE (EU).

Can I buy your products at my local diving store?

Certainly, provided your local dive shop works with us or one of our authorized distributors. To find a distributor that serves your area and access their list of retail dealers, please visit the resellers section.

Do you ship your products worldwide?

We ship our products worldwide, except North and South Korea or countries currently - and sadly - at war.

Which payment methods do you accept?

For customers located outside of Greece, we offer several online payment methods listed during the checkout process including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Credit Card, Bank Wire-Transfer and more.

Customers located within Greece have all the payment options mentioned above, as well as a Cash-On-Delivery (COD) option.

* Alchemy does not collect, process, or store credit card information or any other payment instrument data. All payment transactions are handled securely by certified third-party payment processors, ensuring full compliance with applicable data protection and security standards.

Which courier service is used for deliveries?

We ship our products globally using fast and reliable registered services like FedEx, DHL Express, etc, with delivery times ranging from 1 to 6 business days to most locations. For domestic orders within Greece, we use domestic courier services like ELTA Courier (door-to-door), which delivers within up to 3 days.

How long does it take to receive my order?

For fins, there is usually a production lead time of approximately 10 working days (2 weeks). This may vary depending on our workload, so, we recommend reaching out before placing your order to confirm the estimated waiting time. All other products are generally in stock and ready to ship.

What if the courier is unable to reach me at the delivery address?

If the courier is unable to reach the recipient within a certain period, the package will be returned to Alchemy. In this case, the customer will be responsible for all return-related costs, including import duties, customs fees, taxes, or other applicable charges. To resend the order, the customer must also cover the new shipping cost. We highly recommend providing accurate and accessible delivery details to avoid such issues and ensure a smooth delivery.

How can I track my order?

Once your order is dispatched, we will send you an email with the name of the courier service and your tracking number so you can monitor the delivery progress.

Which blade stiffness should I choose for my fins?

Selecting the right fin stiffness depends on several factors, primarily your body weight and build. Here's a general guideline:

• Under 70kg : Soft
• 65-75kg : Medium/Soft
• 70-90kg : Medium
• 85-100kg : Medium/Hard
• Over 100kg : Hard

The above are approximate ranges. Personal preference, skill level, and diving conditions also play an important role. For example, if you're using fins for snorkeling or surface swimming, a softer blade than recommended by weight may be ideal. For strong currents or high-performance diving, a slightly stiffer blade may be better.

Which blade length should I choose for my fins?

Choosing the right blade length depends on factors like your body type and how you plan to use the fins. We're happy to help you make the best choice. Feel free to reach out for personalized guidance.

What is covered under the fins' 5 year warranty?

The Alchemy 5 year warranty for carbon fiber blades & fins covers only the carbon fiber part for defects or damage resulting from material or workmanship failures.
It does not cover the following:

• Wear and tear from normal use
• Damage from improper, heavy, or abnormal use (e.g., impacts, falls, or harsh conditions)
• Neglect, poor maintenance, or chemical damage from aggressive cleaners
• Known or visible defects at the time of purchase
• Cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches, footpocket wear, discoloration)
• Unauthorized modifications or incorrect assembly
• Failure to follow usage instructions
• Damage from extended use in chlorinated or polluted water
• Damage from extreme temperatures or prolonged sun exposure
• Blades that have been drilled or cut
• Wearable parts like footpockets, silicone rails, and stickers (unless a manufacturing defect is proven)
• Equipment used for rental, military, or commercial purposes

Only manufacturing-related defects are eligible for coverage.

I made a mistake on my order. Can you replace my item?

If an error occurs while placing your order at alchemy web shop, please don't hesitate to reach out to us promptly. We are committed to resolving any issues before your order goes into production or is shipped.

Should you face any issues with your blades (without footpockets) upon receipt, such as incorrect stiffness, color, or model, you have the option to return them to us within 15 days of receiving them, and we will provide replacements at no additional cost other than shipping costs & clearance handling fees (if any).

For fins, which consist of blades with attached footpockets, should you encounter issues like incorrect footpocket sizing, stiffness, color, or model upon receiving them, you can also return them within 15 days for replacement. It's important to note that since our fins are custom-crafted for each customer, a restocking fee of 120€ (Euros) will be applied due to labor and material costs.

Regarding insoles, we regret to inform you that we cannot accept returns for hygiene reasons, as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our customers. We strongly advise carefully reviewing the product description and features before making your purchase to ensure it aligns with your requirements and expectations.

In all cases, please be aware that you are responsible for covering the shipping cost for both returns and replacements.

When returning items, they must be in the same condition as when they were initially manufactured. Regrettably, we cannot replace blades and/or fins that have been used or are scratched.

Additionally, please be sure to review the specific returns policy on the product description page, as some items may not be eligible for return.

What should I know about VAT and customs duties or fees?

All prices on this web shop are tax inclusive. In accordance with Greek tax regulations, every purchase is treated as a retail sale happening in Greece, and a 24% VAT is already built into the listed prices.

If you're a business purchasing for resale within or outside the EU, you may qualify for a VAT exemption, provided you supply complete company details and we issue a commercial invoice between companies.

For customers outside the EU, your order may be subject to customs duties or import taxes, which are solely your responsibility as the buyer.
