Saveliy Mankovskiy

Sava is a freediver, scuba instructor, and licensed boat captain whose journey began in 2007 after moving to Hawaii at 19. His passion for the ocean was sparked when he watched a captain dive effortlessly on a single breath and return with an octopus, only to release it moments later. That experience inspired him to explore the underwater world.

Since then, he has immersed himself in all aspects of life at sea, from seamanship and sailing to scuba and freediving. He views the ocean as both a training ground and a teacher—a place to push limits, find discipline, and connect with nature.

Now based on the North Shore of Oahu, Sava works as a captain and shark safety diver, offering private charters and ocean adventures. Line diving plays a vital role in his training, helping him stay sharp whether diving wrecks, photographing marine life, or guiding sharks.
