Remember the days without social media? Remember the days when TV channels were only a handful? Well, during those days, as a kid, if you were into discovering the underwater world, there was one man who brought to you incredible content & adventures from the depths of the sea. That man was Jacques Yves Cousteau.
"My Father, the Captain: Jacques-Yves Cousteau" a film released in 2011, revisits the travels and works of Cousteau, through the eyes of his family as well as of those whose lives he influenced. Even though the film was released on DVD, it is currently available to stream here.
In his son's words "Jacques Cousteau was my father and at the hundred anniversary of his birth I'm honored to revisit the adventure and the legacy he left, not only to his heirs but to us all. I want to remind us that he was a pioneer and visionary. I want to hear from those who listened to him because we're inspired and are still working to better our work. To honor his 100th birthday, members of the original team of Calypso will join me and my son and daughter, Fabian and Celine, to dive off the coast of France where it all began. We'll share memories, tell stories, describe the inspiration and the influence. The time has come for me to share with you the adventure of my father, the captain Jacques Yves Cousteau".
