"Dave The Diver" is an innovative and thrilling game that combines elements of adventure and tycoon gameplay. Set in the enigmatic Blue Hole, the game features a dynamic and ever-changing environment with constantly evolving ecology and terrain. The game offers players a range of exciting experiences, including deep-sea exploration in a stunning 2D and 3D sea setting, and restaurant management, where players finance the restaurant by catching fish and preparing them for customers. With its unique blend of gameplay styles, "Dave The Diver" promises to be an engaging and immersive adventure.
In the game, the character Cobra, a former arms dealer, discovers that the ecology and terrain of the Blue Hole change every time he enters it, and he sees an opportunity to make money from this. He convinces the optimistic Dave, who is the playable protagonist, and Bancho, a skilled sushi chef who specializes in cooking rare sea creatures, to open a sushi restaurant near the Blue Hole. While exploring the Blue Hole at the request of the archeologist Bacon, Dave uncovers a threat to the descendants of the ancient Sea People who still live in the deep sea. Recognizing that this poses a danger not only to the hidden village of the Sea People but also to the planet itself, Dave embarks on a mission to find a solution to the problem by diving deeper into the Blue Hole.
In "Dave The Diver" players can experience two types of gameplay: "Blue Hole exploration" and "Sushi restaurant operation." During the day, players can explore the Blue Hole twice, and each night, they can use the fish caught during the day to operate the sushi restaurant and raise money. The funds raised can be used to upgrade equipment and explore even deeper areas, where players can catch more exotic fish and ingredients to sell at higher prices. With its blend of genres, "Dave The Diver" offers players a rich and varied gaming experience. However, players should note that any items they acquire will disappear if they die during exploration, adding a similar level of challenge and enjoyment found in rogue-like games.
