Is there something that ice climbing can teach us for freediving? Are they related somehow?
Tim Emmet, is a world-class pro ice climber and coach. Sponsored by a number of the best companies in the sport, he climbs some of the roughest ice & rock paths. He also happens to be a freediver, training with Alchemy partner Luca Malaguti in Canada. During his first training session, Luca remembers, he managed to dive down to -30 meters in 10C water temperature.
Tim recently had a chat with The Freedive Wire, where they talked about the psychological connections between the two sports, breathing control, avoiding accidents, the SERENE checklist as well as learning a few tactical knots!
