Here at Alchemy, during the last trimester we have been thinking of what we can do in order to make the world a better place, no matter how cliche this may sound.

Did You Know That Planting A Tree Has A Massive Impact In The World We Inhabit?

Deforestation is responsible for 18% of CO2 emissions but fortunately, we can change this. Natural forests capture CO2, acting as carbon sinks. Every year, forests and trees absorb the equivalent of 2 billion tonnes of CO2, roughly 1/3 of all CO2 released from the burning of fossil fuels. Trees are key pillars of the world for both humans and the environment. They benefit us by purifying water, air and creating better social conditions. They benefit the environment by providing homes for various forms of life, cooling our climate and improving our soil.

As we know very little when it comes to planting trees, we teamed up with Tree-Nation, the home of 251 planting projects from 33 different countries. In order to offset our CO2 emissions and to support the well-being of wildlife habitats, we’ll plant a tree for every pair of carbon fins we sell via our eshop.

How does that work? After the completion of your order, you’ll receive an email from Tree-Nation, inviting you to plant your free tree at the Alchemy forest. Please don’t pass on it. You’ll be able to plant your tree with two simple clicks on your phone, in no time. A real tree, in a real planting project in Madagascar.
