Kori Burkhardt
Kori Burkhardt is a scientist, underwater photographer, and ocean expedition leader based in French Polynesia. Specializing in shark research and documentation through full immersion with these animals, her goal is to deepen our understanding of shark behavior and ecology. As the co-founder of the Mao Mana Foundation, a conservation and research organization, she is dedicated to protecting sharks and advancing research efforts across the South Pacific. In her role as an expedition leader, she strives to connect others to the marine ecosystem through sustainable, ethical, and inspiring experiences that foster ocean stewardship. Her work as a shark scientist and underwater videographer has been featured in numerous documentaries on major platforms such as National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, and more.
