Chris Funada

Chris was born in the small town of Hilo, Hawaii. Having been in the ocean his whole life, he picked up freediving in 2013, under the guidance of some local diving legends. Fast forward a few years and he got himself on the US freediving team for the world championships in Kalamata, Greece. Since then he has spent his time supporting the diving community in Hawaii as an event organizer for freediving & spearfishing, freediving judge, and chair of the local fishery council. He believes that giving back to the community is the most important work he can do in his free time.
