Nicholas Kouvaras

Nicholas Kouvaras began freediving at a young age, initially splitting his time underwater between photography and spearfishing. Eventually, he discovered the discipline of freediving and dedicated himself fully to the sport. With over 40 years of experience, including the last 20 as a full-time instructor and trainer, Nicholas has been involved in nearly every aspect of freediving.

Despite his extensive career, he still enjoys teaching beginner courses, driven by a lifelong passion for sharing his knowledge. A true enthusiast of carbon fiber, he has found his place in Alchemy’s R&D department, where innovation meets performance. He’s also a part-time YouTuber and never dives without his V330s and camera in hand.
