Sheldon Kane

Sheldon Kane

Spearo

In Hawaiian culture, the name Kane is rooted in stories of origin, and Sheldon’s lineage carries that legacy. His family traces its bloodline back seven generations to Molokai, with the eighth now growing up on Kauai and Maui. Sheldon’s ohana, or family, has always lived as watermen, shaped by generations of fishing, diving, spearfishing, and surfing.

For Sheldon, spearfishing and fishing were more than just ways to provide food. They were moments of connection, shared experiences that brought family together. This harmony between people and the ocean is known in Hawaiian as Lokahi, the idea of unity and balance.

That sense of connection is what matters most to Sheldon. Whether in the remote islands of French Polynesia and Fiji or in the waters of Oahu, he has always felt the same deep sense of ohana, a strong bond not only with the people but also with the ocean and all it holds.

It is this deep-rooted harmony that excites him about joining Team Alchemy. For Sheldon, the ocean is family, and he hopes to share that rare and familiar sense of unity, because in the end, we are all one with the sea.
